Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: LA Police raid recovers $7 million in sneakers

A recent raid by the Los Angeles Police Department recovered a massive stockpile of ill-gotten footwear.

The June 21 raid on a warehouse recovered $7 million in stolen sneakers. Commerical crime detectives fromt he LAPD received a report that several cargo containers were stolen from trucks near the Port of Los Angeles. After investigators tracked the pilfered kicks to nearby Torrence , they were able to obtain a search warrant for the warehouse Wednesday evening.

Los Angeles CBA affiliate KCAL was told by LAPD the sneakers were the only items recovered in the raid and that no arrests had been made but did confirm to Sourcing Journal that officers were seeking 2 to 5 individuals of interest but have taken no one into custody as of yet.
